It is time for your leadership
There’s a fire in my belly for more art, more leadership, more love.
The way I have always walked in the world has been driven by an internal flame - that rises and falls in intensity depending on life’s waves and currents - and sometimes it’s felt totally extinguished. Dampened by the need to fit in, belong, by my own insecurities and fears, self doubts, heartbreak and questionings of everything and the sneaky ‘who the fuck am is’?
Standard procedure for getting up and saying anything that’s not vanilla.
But publicly, openly, widely, loudly - FUCK THAT
I don’t want to draw a crude link between war and art. Genocide and soul leadership. There’s a lot of commentary about the state of the world and I feel my addition at this point is less about nation states and geopolitics (I left a government career because I knew exactly this: that good does not trump perceived evil if self interest is at the table. The global elite mostly do things that are convenient and ‘diplomatic’ not that are earth shatteringly change making and reflective of the sanctity of human justice and the right to life of our natural habitats. Their hands are tied by their own human fallibility, toxic power and survival games. Obviously we are in global heartbreak. I am horrified but I am not shocked).
I am not apathetic.
We change the world one moment, one choice at a time.
I believe that it’s time for those willing and able to fully stand up and lead. In their homes, communities, organisations, family systems, relationships.
Lead your own damn life because your soul is in the driving seat and knows better than you what will save you.
It is time to do the thing. Make the move. Choose the place. Create the project. Become the leader you’re supposed to be…
Seek the help you need. Lean into people that love you. Make space for the stories that you’re not enough and ultimately remind yourself that’s total BS.
Life is hard. Excruciatingly hard. We are faced with the blatant obvious that the systems we live inside of are mostly defunct at best. International systems designed for peace and protection - unspeakably broken.
The house of cards that is our modern society is cracking at the seams and for those that can see this - it’s time.
